Pork rind packaging machine
Pork rinds are a very light, irregular and fragile snack with some fat on the surface. Packing them calls for careful weighing, avoiding impacts and a good seal on a bag that is usually filled with air or inert gas.
We build pork rind lines with a multihead weigher and vertical packaging machine, in pillow bags or in strip packs for hanging at the point of sale.

Packing pork rinds: the challenges
- Irregular, fragile pieces: they break easily when dropped.
- Surface fat: contact surfaces and sealing jaws must be easy to clean.
- Shelf life: fat oxidises; inert gas flushing helps preserve the flavour.
- Bar and hospitality formats: small bags in strip packs, very common in Spain.

Frequently asked questions
Which packaging machine is used for pork rinds?
A vertical packaging machine with a multihead weigher. If the product is very fragile, the tilting VMI reduces the drop.

Yes. Vertical packaging machines form strips of joined bags, ready to hang at the point of sale.
Is inert gas necessary?
It is not compulsory, but it helps slow fat oxidation and extends the product's shelf life.
