The VM vertical packaging machine forms, fills and seals pillow bags, flat-bottom bags and strips of bags from a film reel, using laminated or single-layer film. Built in AISI 304 stainless steel and designed for humid environments and extreme temperatures, it works with powder, granules, solids or liquids depending on the dosing unit fitted.

Powder, granules, solids or liquids. It combines with a multihead weigher, auger filler, piston filler or volumetric filler.
Frame and structure in AISI 304 stainless steel, suitable for food use, humid environments and extreme temperatures.
OMRON or SIEMENS PLC, Rockwell safety, FESTO/SMC pneumatics, SICK photocell and Lenze or Panasonic servo.
7" HD touch screen (10" optional), 99 recipes and two password-protected access levels.
Tool-free forming tube change, self-centring reel holder and semi-automatic film splicing.
PID temperature control from the screen, air blowing on the sealing jaw and an encoder that ensures the length of each bag.

80–435 mm wide
The standard VM format.

With the optional flat-bottom system (English fold).

Bags joined in a strip, without cutting between them.
The self-centring reel holder feeds the film; it detects the end of the reel and allows semi-automatic splicing.
The forming tube, made to the size of your bag, shapes the film. The pull-down belts are servo-driven.
The product drops through the hopper from the dosing unit: multihead weigher, auger filler, piston filler or volumetric cup filler.
Longitudinal and horizontal sealing by jaws with PID-controlled temperature and air blowing for a clean finish.
Cut by length or by eye mark, read by the SICK KT5 photocell. The encoder ensures the exact length.
The finished bag leaves on the conveyor, ready for the metal detector, weight control and case packing.

Powder, granules, solids and liquids. The product determines the dosing unit mounted above the machine, for example a multihead weigher for snacks or an auger filler for powder.
Between 40 and 80 bags per minute on the VM 400 and VM 620 models, and up to 90 on the VM 900. The actual figure depends on the product and the bag length.
The reel and bag width. The VM 400 handles film reels from 120 to 400 mm, the VM 620 from 180 to 620 mm and the VM 900 from 500 to 900 mm, for bags up to 435 mm wide.
Laminated and single-layer film, such as OPP/CPP, OPP/PE, MST/PE or PET/PE. An optional special seal is available for polyethylene.
Yes. The forming tube is changed without tools and the machine stores up to 99 recipes with the parameters for each format.
The VM is an intermittent machine, from 40 to 90 bags per minute. The VMC is a continuous-motion machine and reaches up to 120 bags per minute.
Yes. It is built in stainless steel and designed to withstand unfavourable locations, such as humid environments and extreme temperatures.
