Vertical packaging machines

TWIN C vertical packaging machine

The TWIN C vertical packaging machine is the continuous-motion version of the TWIN: two forming tubes on one frame that work without stopping the film and reach up to 240 bags per minute. It avoids installing two packaging lines and saves floor space without reducing speed, using a single film reel that the machine slits into two films, one for each tube.

Why choose it

01

Two tubes in continuous motion

The sealing jaws seal on the move on both tubes at once, with vacuum film drive. The result is up to 240 bags per minute in the footprint of a single machine.

02

One reel, two films

A single film reel with a slitting system built into the machine that forms two independent films, one for each forming tube.

03

Lenze servos with motion control

LENZE PLC and Lenze servo motors for vertical sealing, jaw up-and-down travel, pull-down belts and horizontal sealing.

04

Dual touch screen

Two 10" HD touch screens, 99 recipes and programs, speed set in bags per minute and electronic cam programming, easy for the operator.

05

One machine for any product

Powder, solids or liquids, in pillow bags, flat-bottom bags and strips of bags.

06

Fast format changes

Made-to-measure forming tube changed without tools, expanding shaft on the reel holder and semi-automatic film splicing.

How it works

  1. Unwinding

A single film reel on the reel holder with expanding shaft; the built-in slitting system divides it into two films, one for each tube. End-of-reel detection and early warning, and semi-automatic splicing.

  2. Forming

Two forming tubes made to the size of your bag. The vacuum belts pull each film continuously, with film correction from the screen.

  3. Dosing

Each tube receives product from its own dosing unit: multihead weigher, auger filler, piston filler or volumetric cup filler.

  4. Sealing

Servo vertical sealing and horizontal jaws with an up-and-down servo that seal on the move, with PID temperature control and cooling air.

  5. Cutting

Cut by length or by eye mark, read by the SICK KT5 colour photocell.

  6. Outfeed

The finished bags leave on the conveyor; the counter records full and empty bags and the large rear area takes a printer or labeller.

Frequently asked questions

What speed does the TWIN C vertical packaging machine reach?

Up to 240 bags per minute across both tubes, depending on the product and pack size.

How does it differ from the TWIN vertical packaging machine?

The TWIN is intermittent, up to 140 bags per minute, with one film reel per tube. The TWIN C runs in continuous motion with Lenze servos, vacuum film drive and a single film reel slit into two films, and reaches 240.

How does it feed two tubes from a single film reel?

The machine has a built-in slitting system that divides the reel into two independent films, one for each forming tube. So only one reel needs to be loaded and spliced.

What is the difference between the TWIN C 420 and the TWIN C 620?

The film and bag width. The TWIN C 420 handles films from 180 to 420 mm for bags from 80 to 200 mm; the TWIN C 620, films from 180 to 620 mm for bags from 80 to 300 mm.

What bag formats does it make?

Pillow bags, flat-bottom bags and strips of bags, with lengths from 80 to 360 mm and film from 0.09 to 0.4 mm.

What power and air does it need?

A 400 V 50/60 Hz power supply with 12.5 kW of power and compressed air at 7 bar with a consumption of 450 l/min.

Is this the right machine for your product?
