Q: How does it differ from the VM vertical packaging machine?

The [VM](/en/industrial-machinery/vertical-packaging-machines/vertical-packaging-machine-vm/) is an intermittent machine and reaches 80–90 bags per minute. The VMC runs in continuous motion, with vacuum pull-down belts and four SIEMENS servo motors, and reaches 120 bags per minute.

The VMC vertical packaging machine is the continuous-motion version of the VM: it forms, fills and seals pillow bags, flat-bottom bags and strips of bags from a film reel at up to 120 bags per minute. Built in food-grade stainless steel, it is designed for high-output packing of powder, solids or liquids without compromising on a perfect pack.

Why choose it

Continuous production

The sealing jaws do not stop for each bag, so the VMC reaches 120 bags per minute, twice the intermittent VM, with speed set in bags/min from the screen.

Vacuum film drive

Continuous vacuum traction belts with Becker pump, which grip the film without marking it and keep registration at high speed.

Four SIEMENS servos

Vertical sealing, jaw up-and-down travel, pull-down belts and horizontal sealing each have their own servo motor, coordinated by the motion control PLC.

How it works

Unwinding
The reel holder with expanding shaft feeds the film; the machine detects and warns of the end of the reel and allows semi-automatic splicing.
Forming
The forming tube, made to the size of your bag, shapes the film. The vacuum belts pull it continuously, with film correction from the screen.
Dosing
The product drops through the hopper from the dosing unit mounted above: multihead weigher, auger filler, piston filler or volumetric cup filler.
Sealing
Servo longitudinal sealing and horizontal jaws with an up-and-down servo: they seal on the move, with PID temperature control and cooling air.
Cutting
Cut by length or by eye mark, read by the SICK KT5 colour photocell.
Outfeed
The finished bag leaves on the conveyor; the counter records full and empty bags and the large rear area takes a printer or labeller.
