Packing popcorn: the challenges

  • Very high volume: the bag format and forming tube must be sized to the product.
  • Sticky coatings: caramelised popcorn can stick, so the dosing system is chosen after trials.
  • Moisture: popcorn loses its crunch quickly, so the seal must be airtight.
  • Varied formats: from single-serve bags to sharing bags or bags with zip.
