FPI Flowpack packaging machine
On the FPI Flowpack packaging machine the film reel sits at the bottom: the film rises and wraps the product from below, and the longitudinal seal is made at the top, with two pairs of rollers. This hygienic design, with easy access for cleaning and stainless steel in every product-contact part, makes it especially suited to fresh or moist products. The standard range goes from the FP200I to the FP1000I and we build other sizes to order; the FP600I runs 600 mm reels, products up to 500 × 320 × 80 mm and up to 60 bags per minute. Its servo version is the FPIS Flowpack.

How it works
Product loading
The 2900 mm infeed conveyor, with belt and position sensor, carries the product to the machine.
Bottom unwinding
The reel sits at the bottom; the film rises to the former and the SICK KT5 sensor reads the eye mark on printed film.
Forming
The width-adjustable former wraps the product from below.
Top longitudinal sealing
Two pairs of rollers, each with its own temperature control, seal the bag at the top.
Cross sealing and cutting
The rotary jaw seals and the fixed knife cuts; if the product gets trapped, the torque control detects it.
Outfeed
The bag leaves for quality control and case packing; the counter records every bag.

What is an inverted flow wrapper?

Which products is it designed for?

How fast is the FP600I?
Up to 60 bags per minute, with products up to 500 × 320 × 80 mm and a 600 mm reel.
Which films does it run?
Heat-sealable, laminated (for example OPP+PE) and cold-seal films: OPP, PE, PVC, OPP/CPP, PT/PE and KOP/CPP, plain or printed with eye mark (SICK KT5 sensor).
Inverted or standard flow wrapper?
Is there a servo version?
Yes, the FPIS Flowpack, with the same inverted configuration. Ask us for its data sheet and we will tell you which model fits your product.
Do you build other sizes?
Yes. The standard range goes from FP200I to FP1000I: the number in the model name is the reel width in millimetres (200 to 1000 mm). We also adapt the machine to any other reel or product size.
