FPBM Flowpack packaging machine

The FPBM Flowpack packaging machine is designed for large and delicate products, such as pizza bases, with Box Motion jaw control. The standard range goes from the FP200BM to the FP1000BM and we build other sizes to order. The FP1000BM runs reels up to 1000 mm and products 250 to 1000 mm long, 250 to 480 mm wide and up to 120 mm high, at up to 50 bags per minute, with three Panasonic servo motors (loading zone, longitudinal sealer and jaws), a 304 stainless steel frame and a top sponge that reduces the air inside the bag. Why choose it

Box Motion control

The cross-sealing jaws work with Box Motion control: heavy-duty temperature-controlled jaws, cross-serrated sealing and a zigzag knife.

Large and delicate products

250 to 1000 mm long, 250 to 480 mm wide and up to 120 mm high; special infeed belt with step rollers so the product is not damaged.

Less air in the bag

A top sponge reduces the air left inside the bag.

Three Panasonic servo motors

Loading zone, longitudinal sealer and jaws each have their own servo motor, with Panasonic PLC, drives and 7" touch screen.

304 stainless steel

304 stainless steel frame, castors to move the machine and height-adjustable feet.

How it works

Infeed
The special infeed belt, with step rollers, carries the product without damaging it; wide pushers take special products.
Unwinding
The self-centring reel holder takes reels up to 1000 mm; the PEC sensor reads the eye mark on printed film.
Forming
The film wraps the product and forms the tube of the pillow bag.
Longitudinal sealing
The longitudinal sealer, with its own servo motor, seals the bag with PID-controlled temperature.
Box Motion sealing and cutting
The Box Motion jaws seal with a cross-serrated jaw and the knife cuts in zigzag; the top sponge reduces the air in the bag and the brush keeps the pressure at the entry.
Outfeed
The built-in outfeed belt takes the bag to quality control and case packing.

What is a Box Motion flow wrapper?

A flow wrapper whose cross-sealing jaws move in a Box Motion: instead of rotating, they travel with the bag while sealing, so the seal lasts longer.

What product size does it take?

250 to 1000 mm long, 250 to 480 mm wide and up to 120 mm high, with reels up to 1000 mm.

How fast is it?

Up to 50 bags per minute.

Which products is it designed for?

Large and delicate products, such as pizza bases: the infeed belt with step rollers does not damage the product and the top sponge reduces the air in the bag.

Can it pack with inert gas?

The software is ready for inert gas and the machine for a printer; an air extraction system is also available.

How does it differ from the FPS?

The FPS runs reels up to 700 mm, products up to 550 mm long and up to 80 bags per minute. The FPBM takes 1000 mm reels and 1000 mm products, with Box Motion jaw control.

Do you build other sizes?

Yes. The standard range goes from FP200BM to FP1000BM: the number in the model name is the reel width in millimetres (200 to 1000 mm). We also adapt the machine to any other reel or product size.
