Flowpack packaging machines

FP Flowpack packaging machine

The FP Flowpack packaging machine is our standard horizontal flow wrapper for pillow bags: it wraps bakery, food and handled products in film from a reel. The standard range goes from the FP200 to the FP1000: the number is the reel width in millimetres, and we also build any other size to order. A single motor drives the whole machine, with a Panasonic PLC, a 7" colour touch screen and PID temperature control (±0.5 °C); the FP200, FP400 and FP600 reach 60 bags per minute. If you need more precision or speed, see the FPS Flowpack.

Pack formats

How it works

  1. Infeed

Wide pushers carry each product along the 2500 mm infeed conveyor to the forming area.

  2. Unwinding

The self-centring reel holder feeds the film; the PEC sensor reads the eye mark on printed film.

  3. Forming

The film wraps the product and forms the tube of the pillow bag.

  4. Longitudinal sealing

The longitudinal fin of the bag is sealed with PID-controlled temperature (±0.5 °C).

  5. Cross sealing and cutting

The cross-serrated jaw seals and the zigzag knife cuts between products. The brush keeps the right pressure at the jaw entry and, for bakery, the supporting mat holds the product.

  6. Outfeed

The built-in outfeed belt takes the finished bag to quality control and case packing.

Frequently asked questions

How fast is the FP flow wrapping machine?

Up to 60 bags per minute on all three models: FP200, FP400 and FP600.

What is the difference between the FP200, FP400 and FP600?

The reel width (200, 400 or 600 mm) and, with it, the product size: up to 500 × 170 × 60 mm on the FP200, 500 × 170 × 80 mm on the FP400 and 500 × 280 × 80 mm on the FP600.

FP or FPS?

The FP drives everything with a single motor and reaches 60 bags per minute. The FPS is the high-end servo version: three independent servo motors (pushers, rollers and jaws), up to 80 bags per minute and products up to 150 mm high on the FP700S.

Can it run printed film?

Yes. The PEC sensor reads the eye mark on printed film, the reel holder is self-centring and the rear area is large enough for reel splicing.

Can a printer or inert gas be added?

The machine is prepared for a printer to be fitted later, and its software is ready for an inert gas system.

Which products does it pack?

Bakery, food and handled products, single or in compact groups. For bakery it seals with a supporting mat.

Do you build other sizes?

Yes. The standard range goes from FP200 to FP1000: the number in the model name is the reel width in millimetres (200 to 1000 mm). We also adapt the machine to any other reel or product size.
