Collaborative palletising robot
The YM Packaging collaborative palletising robot (cobot) places cases on the pallet working next to your operators. Its sensors stop the robot when it detects contact with a person, so it can work without a closed safety cage, depending on the risk assessment of each installation. It has a small footprint, is reprogrammed quickly for new case sizes and patterns, and frees your team from the most repetitive and heavy end-of-line work.

In action
Why choose it
Works alongside people
Designed to share space with operators, without fences or closed cages where the risk assessment of the installation allows it.
Stops on contact
Its sensors stop the robot if it touches a person, reducing risks and injuries at the end of line.
Quick reprogramming
It adapts quickly to new case sizes, patterns or production changes: a scalable investment.
Consistent productivity
It handles cases very accurately with steady cycles, without the errors and fatigue of manual palletising.
Less physical strain
It takes over repetitive case lifting and reduces musculoskeletal injuries in your team.
Palletising and case packing
The same type of cobot can place products in cases or cases on pallets, depending on your line.
How it works
Case arrival
The sealed case arrives on the infeed conveyor up to a stop that holds it in position.
Pick with a vacuum gripper
The cobot picks the case from the top with its suction-cup gripper.
Placing in the pattern
It places the case on the pallet, layer by layer, following the programmed pattern.
Pallet change
When the pallet is full, the operator takes it out and puts in an empty one while the robot waits.

Frequently asked questions
What is a collaborative palletising robot?
It is a lightweight robot designed to work alongside people. For palletising it picks cases from the conveyor and places them on the pallet following a pattern, without a closed safety cage if the risk assessment of the installation allows it.
Does it need safety fencing?
Its sensors stop it on contact, so in most installations it works without a closed cage. The final protection is defined by the risk assessment of each installation.
How is it different from an industrial robot?
The industrial (anthropomorphic) robot works inside a fenced cell and is the option for varied products, complex patterns or depalletising. The cobot takes up less space, works next to operators and is easier to reprogram.
Is it easy to change case size?
Yes. It is quick to reprogram, so it adapts rapidly to new case sizes, patterns or production changes.
Can it also case pack?
Yes. Collaborative robots are used both for case packing (placing product in the case) and for palletising the cases.
Can it be integrated with my packaging line?
Yes. We integrate it with your case packing, weight control and case sealing, or design the complete end of line.
