Case packing

FC3X1 monobloc top-load case packer

The YM Packaging FC3X1 automatic case packer packs the bags coming from your packaging machine into cardboard cases, in a single monobloc machine. It receives the bags, spaces them and groups them in the pattern you need; at the same time it erects the case, a gantry robot places the group from the top and the case moves on to the closing station, where the flaps are folded and the case is sealed with adhesive tape. It runs at up to 10 cases per minute with cases from 200 × 180 × 100 to 600 × 400 × 400 mm.

Why choose it

01

Erects, loads and closes in one machine

A monobloc that erects the cardboard case, loads it with the group of bags and closes it with adhesive tape, with no separate machines.

02

Top loading with a gantry robot

The bags are spaced and grouped in the required pattern; a gantry robot picks up the group and places it from the top into the case.

03

Perfectly squared cases

The cases move on an indexed, servo-driven shuttle that keeps them perfectly square at every station.

04

Fast format changeover

Adjustable format set with handwheels and digital indicators, without tools and with quick-change parts.

05

Stainless steel and modular design

Frame and structure in 304 stainless steel, a modular mechanical and control system and independent sub-assemblies for easy handling and maintenance.

06

Safety as standard

Full-height polycarbonate guards and doors with safety interlocks.

How it works

  1. Infeed and grouping

The case packer receives the bags coming from the packaging machine, spaces them and groups them in the pattern required for the case.

  2. Case erecting

At the same time, the machine erects the cardboard case, which moves on the indexed, servo-driven shuttle.

  3. Top loading

The gantry robot picks up the group of bags and places it from the top into the case.

  4. Closing and taping

The loaded case moves on to the closing station, where the minor and major flaps are folded and the case is sealed with adhesive tape.

Labelling and printing at the end of the line

Complete this machine with automatic label application and printing systems to identify the product, ensure traceability and optimise logistics at the end of the line. They integrate into new or existing lines.

Label applicators

A compact, versatile format that can be installed at different points of the process, with high accuracy and connection to the plant control system and production management platforms.

Thermal transfer and inkjet

Variable information printed directly on the pack or label: thermal transfer (TTO, ribbon) for flexible film with high resolution, and non-contact inkjet for cardboard cases, pre-made bags and rigid packs such as tubs.

Print & apply

Prints the variable information on the label in real time and applies it to the pack automatically in a single process, with maximum accuracy and traceability.

Frequently asked questions

What does the FC3X1 case packer do?

It automatically packs bags into cardboard cases by top loading. It receives the bags from the packaging machine, spaces and groups them; at the same time it erects the case, a gantry robot places the group from the top and the case is closed with adhesive tape.

What case sizes does it take?

From 200 × 180 × 100 mm up to 600 × 400 × 400 mm (length × width × height). The format is adjustable.

How fast is it?

Up to 10 cases per minute.

How is the case closed?

At the closing station the minor and major flaps are folded and the case is sealed with adhesive tape.

How is the format changed?

With handwheels and digital indicators, without tools and with quick-change parts, for a fast and precise changeover.

What installation does it need?

A 440 V, 60 Hz power supply, 12 kVA of installed power and compressed air at 5–6 bar. It weighs about 2,000 kg.

What if I only need to erect cases or insert bags into them?

To erect and tape cases there is the F2 case erector, and to place a made-to-measure bag inside the case, the IB bag inserter.

Is there a simpler, gravity case packer?

Yes: the ECJ100 gravity case packer erects RSC cases up to 545 × 230 × 210 mm and drops the bags in flat, at up to 12 cases per minute.

What is the guide price of this machine?

The guide price starts at €195,000 (excl. VAT). The final price depends on the model, configuration and options of your line: request a proposal and we will send you a tailored quote.
