Labelling and printing: product identification and traceability at the end of the line
At YM Packaging we develop automatic label application solutions and printing systems to identify products correctly, ensure traceability and optimise logistics processes at the end of the line.
Labelling for every type of pack
Our systems apply labels, or print and apply variable information, on a wide range of packs and logistics units, and integrate easily into automated production lines. They work with many product formats:
- Cardboard cases (RSC, wrap-around or display)
- Trays
- Flow packs
- Doypacks
- Bags
- Jars and tubs
- Bottles
- Pallets
Thanks to their modular design, they adapt to different line layouts and production requirements.
Label application solutions
They are designed to maximise efficiency and reduce downtime. Standardised components, a modular architecture and intuitive controls simplify maintenance, reduce the spare-parts stock and make it easier to adapt to new applications or format changes. Our equipment stands out for:
- Modular, configurable design
- High label placement accuracy
- Easy integration into existing lines
- Intuitive HMI programming
- Adaptation to different production speeds
This flexibility lets one system cover several applications and makes the most of your investment.
Label applicators
Label applicators integrate easily into new or existing production lines. Their compact, versatile format allows them to be installed at different points of the process with high performance and accuracy, and they offer several options for connecting to the plant control system and to production management platforms.
Industrial printing systems
We integrate industrial printing systems from leading manufacturers to add variable information directly onto the pack or the label during production. For each project we choose the most suitable marking technology for the type of pack, the printing surface and the production requirements, on flexible film, cases, pre-made bags, tubs and other materials.
Thermal transfer (TTO, ribbon). Transfers ink from a ribbon by heat. It is especially suited to flexible-film packs and offers high resolution and excellent print quality, even on high-speed lines.
Industrial inkjet. Prints directly onto the pack or case without contact. A very versatile solution, widely used for coding cardboard cases, printing pre-made bags and printing on rigid packs such as tubs.
Print & apply. Combines printing and automatic label application in a single process: it prints the variable information on the label in real time and applies it to the pack, with maximum accuracy and traceability.
Integration into production lines
All our printing and identification systems integrate fully with the rest of the line to deliver complete product identification: traceability, efficiency and compliance with industrial and logistics standards. We combine them with quality control, case packing, palletising and the rest of a turnkey packaging line.
Frequently asked questions
Which packs can be labelled or printed?
Cardboard cases (RSC, wrap-around or display), trays, flow packs, doypacks, bags, jars and tubs, bottles and pallets. Direct printing works on flexible film, cases, pre-made bags and rigid packs.
What is the difference between thermal transfer and inkjet?
Thermal transfer (TTO) transfers ink from a ribbon by heat and is especially suited to flexible film, with high resolution. Inkjet prints without contact directly onto the pack and is very versatile: cardboard cases, pre-made bags and rigid packs such as tubs.
What is a print & apply system?
A unit that prints the variable information on the label in real time and applies it automatically to the pack in a single process, with maximum accuracy and traceability.
Can it be integrated into my existing line?
Yes. Label applicators and printing systems integrate into new or existing lines, at different points of the process, and connect to the plant control system and to production management platforms.
How do I request a proposal?
Tell us which pack you want to identify, what information you need to print or label and how fast your line runs in the contact form and we will propose a solution.
